The aim of this side-venture was to turn discarded goods into art and bring awareness to an environmental issue. Large numbers of Horseshoe crabs die after their mating season when they come on shore and get trapped or hurt, scattering the beaches with their empty exoskeletons. I starting decorating their shells similar to Mexican Day-of-the-Dead Sugar Skulls as a way to maybe make up for how much harm humans cause and highlight the beauty of these creatures.
